3rd April 2012

Spring is really tearing along now. The oilseed rape is growing 6 inches a week and beginning to flower. Some of the sprouting crop was sold to the oriental markets in Luton and will recover well enough to yield albeit a bit later. We have had a wonderful warm spell and now the weather is colder and wetter.  As Billy Connolly says there is no such thing as bad weather only the wrong clothes. The wet weather brought spawning frogs and toads out as I got nearer the river.  The Easter bunnies are out, especially in the shops.
